is a mineral exploration company focused on the development of lithium resources in the Southwestern United States. The company´s key objective is to develop a world-class lithium project in the state of Arizona that will capitalize on surging demand for lithium-ion.

Mission

Gryphon’s mission is to be the emerging lithium mining company operating in North America. Their mission is to locate, explore and develop unique projects with the potential to become a major supplier to North America’s demand for lithium

Strategy
They will focus their exploration on North American locations with strong histories of lithium mineralization. The management team is putting the strategy in place rapidly expand by doing the following:

(1) Raise the required capital
(2) Identify and secure top lithium projects, beginning in Arizona
(3) Explore and develop these lithium projects into producing assets

 

Lithium has a remarkably diverse range of end uses, depending on the form in which it is produced. Broadly, the major use categories are: glass and ceramics, aluminum alloy, greases and batteries. Gryphon considers the battery market, primarily for hybrid and electric vehicles and as storage batteries for wind and solar energy plants, as its target market.

Lithium ion batteries have become the rechargeable battery of choice for the makers of cell phones, laptop computers, shavers, power tools, and hybrid cars.

But the real revolution is the global demand for environmentally friendly plug-in electric cars. The lithium-ion battery advantage is obvious over its competitor (nickel metal hydride, for example). Lithium-based batteries are the best in every category:

  1. Energy density -- about three times that of its nickel counterpart
  2. Weight-to-power ratio -- pound-for-pound Li delivers three times the energy
  3. Longer life
  4. Faster re-charge
  5. No 'memory' effect -- charge it up no matter the level of the current charge

A battery for all seasons, it operates down to temperatures of -60C
